This model looks is only good for it's look, sexy camera indeed, especially because you can see "3CCD", "Full HD 1080" , "HDD" on the side. While it sounds mouth watering, it ends up being useless. The point of having a HDD is for quick transfers and compatibility. It should be using a standard format other than a proprietary type that requires conversion before you can do anything with it. I found no application that would natively support it while many cameras are widely supported because they use a traditional format. Though this HD format is slightly new, atleast if they stuck to the HD format standards iMovie, and Final Cut would easily support it. I bought this camera hoping to be able to easily 'drag and drop' the data files onto backup drives, and into video editors and found out this was not the case. Also, why have a firewire port if you cant use it to transfer data like this? Yes, odd but its limited on how and what you can transfer via the FireWire cable.
USB only export from a HDD camera? Yikes, my DV film tapes will import faster than that ! So do not bother !
